Find the places of a TikTok video Soon
You spotted a good address in a video? Paste its link into Mazyo, it looks for the places named and you choose which ones to keep.
This feature arrives during the testing phase of the app. This page explains how it will work.
How it works
You paste the video link into Mazyo. Mazyo reads the public description of the video, looks for the addresses or place names it mentions and finds them on the map.
Nothing is added without you: you confirm each place, or search for the right one by hand if it is not the right one.
In your To discover list
Confirmed places go into “To discover”, with “via” followed by the name of the video’s author and a link to the video.
What Mazyo keeps, and its limits
- Mazyo keeps neither the video, nor its thumbnail, nor its description: only the link, the author’s name and the places you confirmed.
- If a video names no address in its description, Mazyo tells you and you can type the name of the place. Sometimes the address is only in the video itself, which it cannot read.
- If the simple extraction is not enough, Mazyo may ask a language model to spot an address in the text of the description. Only that text is sent, never your identity.
